Registered midwives in Ontario provide comprehensive
primary care to healthy, low-risk women through all stages of pregnancy,
labour and birth, and continue care for mother and baby during the first
six weeks following birth.

Midwives view pregnancy and birth as healthy and profound events in
a woman's life.
Midwifery services are completely funded by the Ontario Ministry of
Health and Long-Term Care. There is no direct cost to women for home
or hospital birth.
You are invited to call to make an appointment for an initial interview
to find out more about midwifery care, and to help you decide if it
will meet your needs.
